Viper uses a simple credit system based on word count. Each credit covers up to 250 words.
- A document containing 1 - 250 words uses 1 credit.
- A document containing 251 - 500 words uses 2 credits, and so on.
Before starting a scan, the system automatically calculates how many credits are required and displays this as a quote. If you upload multiple files at once, the total credit cost for all documents will be shown together.
If you choose to use cross-language detection (for example, scanning a document written in Spanish against English sources), the credit cost will double. This means a 250-word document would use 2 credits instead of 1.
You can learn more about this feature on our Cross-Language Detection page.
If you don't have enough credits available, you'll be prompted to top up your account before the scan begins.
