How accurate is your AI detection?

Viper's AI detection system is powered by trusted technology that has been independently verified for its reliability. Tests have shown accuracy levels of around 99% in identifying text written by AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

The system analyses hundreds of language and writing features - including phrasing, rhythm, and sentence structure - to distinguish between human and AI-generated text. It has also been trained across more than 30 languages, making it one of the most advanced detection systems available.

While results are extremely accurate, no detection tool can guarantee perfection. AI technology evolves rapidly, and some content written collaboratively (for example, where a writer uses AI tools for small edits or phrasing) may show partial AI indicators.

Viper's detector is designed to provide a high-confidence assessment of whether a document contains AI-generated text. You can use these results alongside your own judgement to decide how best to review or revise your work (or for teachers, whether to raise the results with one of your students).
