Will my work show as a match if my tutor scans it with Turnitin?

No - your work will not appear as a match in Turnitin. Viper is completely separate from Turnitin and other academic plagiarism systems, so they do not have access to our database or your uploaded documents.

However, if you selected the internal database option when you scanned your work, your document is stored securely in our system to help improve the accuracy of future scans. This allows future users - or tutors using our service or a partner service powered by the same API - to detect matches against your stored content.

To avoid any possibility of your tutor's scan detecting your document, simply choose not to scan against the internal database when uploading your file.

If you have already scanned using the internal database and wish to have your data removed, you can email our support team at support@scanmyessay.com, and we will delete all of your content from the internal database free of charge.
