Our Similarity Report displays the overall percentage of your document that matches other sources. It organises similar text into three main categories: Identical, Minor changes, and Paraphrased, each shown with its own percentage.

The report also highlights any content excluded from the plagiarism check (known as omitted words) according to your chosen scan settings.

  • Identical – Exact word-for-word matches, shown in red.
  • Minor changes – Text that has been slightly modified but still expresses the same meaning (for example, changing "she is reading" to "she reads"), shown in light red.
  • Paraphrased – Sentences rewritten with different vocabulary or structure while keeping the same overall idea.

Omitted – Sections not included in the scan based on your settings (for instance, if quotations are ignored and make up 20% of the text, the omitted percentage will be 20%). These are left unhighlighted.
