Yes, Viper can identify many forms of paraphrased content, as well as identical and closely matched text. The system analyses sentence structure, phrasing, and word choice to recognise when content has been rewritten but still conveys the same meaning as the original source.

However, because paraphrasing can be done in many different ways, no plagiarism checker can detect every case. If a passage has been heavily rewritten or reworded using entirely new phrasing, the match may not appear in your results.

To avoid false positives, Viper's algorithm is designed to highlight paraphrased content only when there is clear evidence that the text is semantically similar to another source.
