If your file won’t upload, the problem is usually related to the format of the file you are trying to send. Viper is currently compatible with the following range of formats:

  • Google Docs
  • Microsoft Word Document (.docx, .doc)
  • Portable Document Format (.pdf)
  • Rich Text File (.rtf)
  • Text Document (.txt)
  • HTML (.html, .htm)
  • PowerPoint Presentation (.ppt, pptx)

If you are seeing the error message ‘This document exceeds the maximum character count’, this means your document is too big to be scanned in one go. You can read more about how to resolve this issue in our dedicated help article.

You can also try these options if you are unable to upload your file:

Clear your cache: Clearing your browser cache may help if we have done any updates that your browser hasn’t quite caught up with yet. Different browsers may have the options to do this in different places, but in general, this can be found in the settings button of your browser.

Try a different browser: Viper works with most browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer. However, if you are having issues, trying a different browser may help. Also, be sure to check that your browser is up-to-date and that you are using the newest version.

If you're still having problems, just get in touch with our support team or Live Chat Team and we'll be happy to help.
